I recently came across this fantastic satire by Matthew Frost for Vs. Magazine. The (very) short film stars Kirsten Dunst and an awkward, cringe-inducing set of selfies. It explores how society’s obsession with celebrity has changed from good old pen and paper autographs to a social media post.

The video, while funny and endearing, also brings up a good point. Have we moved completely past the point of enjoying moments (Meeting Kirstin Dunst!) to simply enjoying the social likes that they result in (Instagram Likes! New Followers!)?

I’m curious, have you ever posted about something just for the likes?
