Tonkin – Cops

In business for over 60 years, the Tonkin name is legendary in the Portland auto industry. But while people knew the name, we wanted to make sure they could put a face to it just as easily.

Starring Ed and Brad Tonkin (the two owners of the business), we created a series of ads that put them in Hollywood-style sets. From cowboys to aliens, from 70s cops to medieval knights, over the years we’ve taken the Tonkin brothers on a cinematic journey that cut through the clutter of typical local auto ads. We wanted to make sure that when people are thinking of buying a car, there’s only one name that comes to mind.
