F&A Federal Credit Union had built deep loyalty with its members over generations, but its brand and digital presence no longer matched the quality of its service.

An aging visual identity and a Web 1.0-era website created friction for members and limited the organization’s ability to grow. F&A needed a modern brand system and digital experience that could better reflect who they are today: trusted, community-centered, and built in service of others.

The challenge was to evolve the brand without losing the credibility and heritage members already trusted.

The visual system was designed to reflect the confidence, resilience, and humanity of F&A’s core membership base.

A bold new logo and rugged typography system drew inspiration from the strength and dependability of firefighters and public servants, while vibrant colors introduced a renewed sense of optimism and energy rooted in Los Angeles culture.

Photography & Graphics

Reportage-style photography helped ground the brand in authentic moments of service, commitment, and community connection.

A custom icon system extended the visual language across digital and print applications, creating a cohesive and recognizable experience throughout the brand ecosystem.
